Chateau Magdeleine Bouhou - Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux AOP - 2011
Winemaker: The first trace of Château Magdeleine Bouhou dates back to the 18th century, with the mutation of “Domain Bouhou” in a register. Bouhou or “Bouhar” in the local language means to blow, a name inspired by the strong wind generated by the Gironde estuary. So strong that it could play alone “Boha”, the local bagpipe. In the 19th century, the estate became the property of wine merchants from Bordeaux : MM. Arnaut and Jeantet. The wife of Mr. Arnaud and the daughter of Mr. Jeantet were both named Madeleine and they both had strong personalities. As a link between these two families, the property was named Magdeleine-Bouhou.
The reward for a job well done, a beautiful reading on this 2011 vintage, an attractive nose and an intense color.
